Szerző: Flamich Mária Magdolna

2025/1: Independent scholar and honorary associate professor. Her research interests include cultural disability studies, disability in music, disabled people’s life writing in music, disability in the film industry and social media, and staging/performing blindness. She is also interested in disabled people’s solitude in mainstream education and academic ableism. As a Fulbright grantee she carried out several research projects on disability narratives at the English Department of the University of California at Berkeley. As an Erasmus scholar she visited the University of Malta, and held lectures at the Department of Education and Social Work at the University of Auckland, A/NZ.She is an external professor at the Institute for Disability and Social Participation of ELTE Bárczi Gusztáv Faculty of Special Education, where she holds lectures on cultural disability studies and academic writing in English. She is a guest lecturer on cultural disability studies at the University of Miskolc. She translates fine literature from Catalan into Hungarian. She is a teacher of English as a foreign language and the leader of the choir named LEGATO at the School of the Blind.
