György Könczei

György is a professor of Disability Studies at the ELTE Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. He obtained his DSc (1998) and PhD (CSc: 1988) in sociology from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. His current research covers a range of problems of (Critical) Disability Studies such as the history of disability theory and history of disability.
György was the founder and the first lead editor of the Hungarian Journal of Disability Studies and Special Education between 2008 – 2018. |
