She leads the Centre for Disability Studies. An international expert in the field of disability human rights has not just argued for the human rights claims of persons with disabilities but also demonstrated how disability human rights would strengthen the human rights of all. Her book Legal Order and Mental Disorder is a pioneering work in the field.
