He received his doctorate in 2007 at the Humboldt-Universit\u00e4t zu Berlin, Germany, with a thesis that addressed the situation of people categorised as \u201cfeeble-minded\u201d in Sweden during the first half of the 20th century. At \u00d6rebro University, he leads the research environment <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oru.se\/english\/research\/research-environments\/hs\/specedl---special-education-development-and-learning\/\">SpecEDL<\/a> (Special Education, Development and Learning).
